At its 144th Statutory Meeting held on Thursday 25th May 2006, Senate approved the report of the Committee of Provost and Deans on the re-opening of the Ojo Campus of the University and the Calendar for the 2005/2006 academic session.

Senate thereafter directed that the Ojo Campus of the University should be re-opened to students and academic activities should fully commence, from Tuesday 30th May 2006. The academic calendar for the 2005/2006 academic session was approved as follows:

• Tuesday 30th May 2006  -    Resumption of Lectures
• Friday 8th September 2006  -  End of 1st Semester Lectures
• Monday 11th September 2006   - 1st Semester Examinations Begins
• Friday 29th September 2006     -  1st Semester Examination Ends
• Monday 2nd October to Friday 13th October 2006 - 2 weeks for marking (Grading of scripts)
  
  END OF SEMESTER
  
• Monday 16th October to Friday 27th October2006 - Two weeks break.

SECOND SEMESTER BEGINS


• Monday 30th October 2006 - 2nd Semester Lectures begin
• Friday 9th February 2007 - Lectures end
• Monday 12th February 2007 to Friday 2nd March 2007 - 2nd Semester Examinations
• Monday 5th March 2007 to Friday 16th March 2007 - 2 weeks for grading of scripts

END OF SESSION


• Monday 19th March 2007 to Friday 13th April 2007 - End of Session Vacation
