I.       SAFETY OF UNIVERSITY VEHICLES
The University Management has frowned against the indiscriminate release of official vehicles of the University to non-staff members particularly to artisans (Mechanics/Auto Electricians) by the Officer(s) for which the vehicles were allocated.

From the security point of view, it has been directed that ONLY the University official drivers, should henceforth be allowed to move ANY official vehicle out of the University Premises to the Mechanic Workshop.

Howbeit, where no official driver is allotted or available, officers with official vehicles are hereby advised to give a hand-written letter of authority to whomsoever is authorized to move ANY official vehicle to the Mechanic Workshop.

In addition, the telephone number(s) of such officer(s) be included in the letter of authority.

It would be recalled that the University bulletin referenced, LASU/INFO/PR/241 and LASU/INFO/PR/280, published on 20th April and 15th June, 2007 respectively had earlier informed the University Community, on the need to be security conscious, in order to ensure maximum safety of lives and properties in the University and to avoid unnecessary embarrassment.

II.      CORRIGENDUM
Please, refer to the University Bulletin INFO/PR/LASU/297, dated 9th July, 2007, on INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT FOR NON-ACADEMIC STAFF POSITIONS, item 3, which stated the vacant position of the Director of University Multimedia Centre.

The correct salary grade for the position is (15) and not (14) as earlier forwarded and published. This error is regretted.
