I. FAKE/SUB-STANDARD TONERS BANE OF FAULTY HP PRINTERS

Several complaints/reports have been lodged about faulty/non functional HP Printers supplied to some Academic and Administrative Departments/Units of the University. On account of this, thorough investigations were conducted by the ICT Technical Team, on the printers. It was then discovered that the malfunctioning of the printers was caused by the application/use of fake and sub-standard Toners labeled HP.
 
In order to protect and prolong the life span of these delicate and sensitive HP printers, the University Management has, therefore, directed that henceforth, all Toners must be purchased directly from HP’s Head Office with which the University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Heads of Academic and Administrative units are hereby advised, to formally request for Toners from the Office of the Vice Chancellor, who will instruct the ICT to procure these Toners directly from HP’s Head Office.

It is therefore, advisable, that all units should order for two (2) Nos. of Toner at a time to prevent undue delay. 

Thereafter, subsequent order of one (1) No. of Toner should be placed as soon as the second Toner is put to use. User Departments/Units are advised not to wait till the second Toner is exhausted, before placing an order for replacement.
Any member of staff that works contrary to this directive, or procures fake and sub-standard Toner, shall be responsible for the cost of either the repair or outright replacement of the HP Printer(s).

II. LASU STAFF SCHOOL CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY

The University (LASU) Staff School will be flagging off its weeklong activities to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the school with thanksgiving service, scheduled to hold on Sunday, July 22nd, 2007 at Chapel of Light LASU, Ojo Campus at 10.00 a.m.

In a letter signed by the Head Teacher of the school, Mrs. Adeola A. Aribike, highlighted the Anniversary Programme of events as stated below:
