2007/2008 Screening tests for ume (100 level) and direct entry (200 level)

1.         Application
Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the Lagos State University 2007/2008 Post JAMB Screening Tests, for both candidates seeking admission via UME (100 level) and Direct Entry (200 level).  These screening tests are mandatory requirements for entry into Lagos State University.

2.         Eligibility:
(i)   ONLY candidates who have chosen Lagos State University as their first choice and/or second choice of institution, in the Joint Admissions University Matriculation Examinations, and have scored a minimum of 200 in the May 2007, JAMB examinations are eligible.

(ii)   ALL Direct Entry candidates who wish to be considered for admission into Lagos State University for the 2007/2008 academic session are also eligible and must apply.

3.         Method of Application
Applicants are required to pay into LASU Account Number(s), a non-refundable fee of N2000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) ONLY to SELECTED branches of the following banks:

Applicants should note that they are to collect a LASU VOUCHER from the bank on payment of their Screening Test fees.

Deadline for payment of application fees is Wednesday, 13th June, 2007 and registration closes Friday, 15th June, 2007.

4.         Registration for screening tests
Method and Procedure
Candidates are expected to register for the screening tests online (Internet). The form is available on the following LASU website ‘admissions.lasunigeria.net’.

Candidates are advised to CAREFULLY study the O' Level requirements for the courses they intend to apply for, BEFORE registering.  These requirements are available at the following LASU website ‘admissions.lasunigeria.net’.  For emphasis, candidates are advised to carefully study the requirements for the courses they intend to apply for, as failure to do so will lead to automatic disqualification.

False information provided by any candidate shall be detected by the special LASU software application designed for such purpose.  Such defaulting candidates shall likewise be disqualified by this same software application, as the computer will NOT accept their applications.

5.         How To Register:

• In the address bar of your browser (Internet Explorer or likewise), enter ‘admissions.lasunigeria.net’ then press enter on the keyboard.

• Click on ‘Screening Exercise’ tab which is available on the site.

• Click on the appropriate link - 'Direct Entry Screening Registration’ or 'Regular Post UME Registration' - on the left column to register.

• Candidates will be required to upload a scanned copy of their passport size picture (File Size: Not More than 20KB, File Format: JPEG [i.e. ‘.jpg’]).

• Carefully study the agreement form.  If you agree to the stated terms, click on the ‘I agree’ check box, enter your ACCESS CODE and SERIAL NUMBER from the LASU Post JAMB VOUCHER, then press the ‘ENTER’ key on your keyboard, or click submit, else you will not be permitted to go beyond this point.

• Fill in all required details contained in steps 1, 2 & 3 of the on-line registration form. Confirm that details are accurate then click finish.  To make CHANGES to a STEP BEFORE you click finish, you may click on the button for that step.

6.         To Print Your Registration Form:

• When you are properly registered, in the address bar of your browser, enter ‘admissions.lasunigeria.net’ then press enter on your keyboard.
• Once again click on Screening Exercise Tab.
• Enter UME Registration Number, Access Code and Serial Number, select Exam Type (i.e. U.M.E or D.E), in ‘LOGIN’ fields, on the left column then click on login button.

• Click on Print Registration form and you will obtain a filled copy with your picture, name, O’ Levels, and other details (see specimen below).

Screening test Details
Applicants are advised to come with their print-outs from the online registration as well their HB pencil, eraser, and pencil sharpener. The use of electronic calculators, cell phones (GSM, CDMA, etc.), and other electronic devices, is NOT ALLOWED into the examination hall.

The detailed results of the screening tests shall be published on the following LASU’s websites: www.lasunigeria.org and admissions.lasunigeria.net 15 working days (i.e. Friday 13th July, 2007) after the last screening test scheduled for Saturday, 23rd June, 2007.
