3RD NIGERIAN INTERNATIONAL MODEL UNITED NATIONS
NIGIMUN CONFERENCE HOLDING IN ABUJA:
17TH - 22ND  NOVEMBER, 2007.

The 3rd Nigerian International Model United Nations (NIGIMUN) Conference has been scheduled to hold at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, between 17th and 22nd November, 2007.

This Year’s Conference which has its theme titled: “Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion: our Collective Responsibility”, is aimed at promoting safe practices and responsible behaviour amongst our young ones while emphasizing injury prevention and safety promotion as a priority for sustainable development.

At the conference, students would assume the role of ambassadors of UN member states to discuss and proffer solutions to some of today’s pressing issues. Through diplomacy and negotiations, these students are challenged to learn, understand and discuss current global issues.

Any student of the university interested in participating in this conference should indicate in writing through his respective Head of Department/Dean or Provost to the Vice Chancellor for sponsorship.

Interested candidate must return his/her application form with the following:
(a)     Curriculum Vitae
(b)     Letter of motivation on “why I would like to participate at the NIGIMUM 2007                            Conference”.
Deadline for submission of application letter is Friday10th August, 2007.

It would be recalled that Lagos State University recorded an encouraging participation in the 2nd edition which was held at the Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt, between 12th and 16th November, 2006.
