The Deputy Secretary – General, Association of Commonwealth Universities, Dr. John Kirkland on Wednesday, 28th March, 2007, paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lateef Akanni Hussain, in his office.
Dr. Kirkland in his remark stated that, though he had come to discuss some administrative events and issues with the University Registrar, Mr. Oluwatoyin Oshun, all the same, he deemed it fit to pay a courtesy visit on the Vice Chancellor of the University.
In his words he said “…I was pleased to be in the University once again to discuss Universities Administrative issues and events, and to share from wealth of experience of the University’s Registrar, Mr. Oluwatoyin Oshun ” He reiterated further that a plank that he picked up in the Registrar’s Office having an inscription of “PUNCTUALITY IS THE SOLE OF BUSINESS” had really gone a long way in putting a check on some members of his staff who were in the habit of coming late to work. He said that the information therein had really played a tremendous role in his life and work. He later thanked the University Management for the hospitality.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor expressed great delight at meeting Dr. Kirkland once again and thanked him for the visit.
